Security tapes involving spray-painted graffiti on walls and glass doors at Hattiesburg’s Venture Church have been turned over to law enforcement officials and are being reviewed.
The vandalism was reported last week.
Kristie Fairley, the church’s director of communications, said the vandalism was confined to one area.
“The markings and graffiti, which were isolated to the front entrance, were removed from the property within hours of discovery,” she said.
The Lamar County Sheriff’s Department is participating in the ongoing investigation.
“Venture Church is not offering a reward,” said Fairley. “However, we would like to invite anyone seeking something more life-changing than any earthly reward to join us for one of our Sunday worship experiences offered across four campuses throughout South Mississippi.”
The church is located in the 4100 block of Lincoln Road.
