Rustin, Sandersville, M & M, and Powers volunteer fire departments responded to a structure fire Saturday afternoon shortly after 2:00 p.m. at 95 Warsaw Camp Loop outside of Laurel.
Owner James Necaise came home and upon opening the front door noticed thick black smoke in the house. Necaise rescued his three dogs that were in the home but was unable to progress further to find the source of the fire, due to the heavy smoke.
Upon arrival of firefighters, the master bedroom was in flames. Thanks to the quick work of the firefighters, fire damage was contained in the master bedroom.
No injuries were reported.
