A 22-year-old Hattiesburg man was charged with first-degree murder Tuesday after he surrendered himself to the Hattiesburg Police Department in an ongoing homicide investigation.
Alex Carmichael Williams had faced a murder warrant in connection to the shooting death of Jermaine Hunter, according to Ryan Moore, HPD Public Information Officer. Hunter was killed on June 29 outside his residence on McCall Street.
Williams has been booked into the Forrest County Correctional Facility.
