Across our country and state, we’re living in difficult and uncharted times.
Many people have different opinions about how the current situation will affect us physically, emotionally, and economically. From what I’ve observed, the latter is what people worry about the most. That’s not to say the first two are not on the minds of most individuals.
The good news? Well, for me, it's laid out in scripture:
"Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? Therefore do not be anxious, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' For the Gentiles seek, after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." - Matthew 6:26-33
Did you catch it?
Jesus, in talking to the crowd gathered (funny note: not observing the six feet across rule from each other), spoke of the birds and how He cares for them, added this phrase: “Are you not of more value than they?”
Jesus cares for us. He’s watching over us. Just as He does for the animals He created, and even more so, He’s watching over us during a time like this.
We will overcome.
We will grow from this and learn things that, without trials, we would have never learned.
Things will get better. Give it some time.
Once again, we will overcome.
It starts with a positive attitude.
Above are some photos that will hopefully brighten your day and show you that the least of God’s creation (between the animals and us) are and will be taken care of.
