HATTIESBURG — On Wednesday, October 23, at 7:00 p.m., Venture Church will host their first regional Night of Worship at Reed Green Coliseum on the campus of The University of Southern Mississippi.
A Night of Worship at Reed Green.
“We are beyond excited and humbled to have this opportunity. For several months, a lot of hard work and long hours have gone into planning and preparation, and on Wednesday night, there will be hundreds of people from our church involved in pulling off this event,” said Justin Coulter, Music Development Director.
Before what is anticipated to be an audience of thousands, a team of fourteen musicians will debut four songs originally written and produced by Venture Worship, in addition to leading several other popular, well-known worship songs.
According to Coulter, “For several years, we’ve felt a calling to write original content. Being able to put to song the heart’s cry of our people has been indescribable. My hope is that God will use our music to reveal to someone, possibly for the very first time, just how much He loves them.”
Night of Worship is happening during an exciting season in the life of Venture Church. During November, Venture will be celebrating ten years of new vision marked by the relocation of its broadcast campus, The Lincoln Road Campus, from Pine Street in Historic Downtown Hattiesburg to its current location on Lincoln Road extension.
Recently, named the 29th Fastest-Growing Church in America by Outreach magazine, it is Venture’s shift in vision that Lead Pastor, Jeff Clark, attributes to the church’s continued growth.

“Ten years ago, we decided to make some big changes. While never compromising the life-giving message of Jesus, we decided we would do whatever it took, including shedding old methods and models of ministry to reach one more broken person. Since then, we have launched three additional campuses, including a campus in Wiggins and, most recently, a campus in Gulfport. Combined, our four campuses host an average of 4,000 per weekend, and last year, we celebrated over 200 baptisms. God has blessed us beyond my wildest dreams, and after serving at my church for 33 years, rather than slowing down, I feel like I’m just getting to the best part of my ministry.” said Lead Pastor, Jeff Clark.
The general public is invited to Venture’s Night of Worship, and there is no admission price to attend. With a kick-off time at 7:00 p.m., the doors of Reed Green Coliseum will open at 6:00 p.m. In addition to an evening of music, guests will have the opportunity to make a contribution supporting a local charity housed on the campus of The University of Southern Mississippi.
