A 40-year-old Sumrall was arrested Tuesday by Forrest County Sheriff’s deputies and charged with drug and firearms offenses.
Michael Paul Lewis was arrested on Forrest and Lamar county charges after a traffic stop on Archie Smith Road, according to Scott Lees, Forrest County Public Information Officer.
Lewis was arrested for Careless Driving, Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth), and on multiple capiases: Possession of a Stolen Firearm, and Possession of a Firearm by Convicted Felon (Forrest County), and Possession of a Controlled Substance (Lamar County).
Lewis was transported and booked into the Forrest County Correctional Facility.
