A longtime Hattiesburg city employee has become one of the latest victims from the coronavirus pandemic that has claimed 59 Mississippians through Tuesday.
Kevin Jordan, who worked for the city for 13 years, was one of eight people in the state who died from COVID-19 on Tuesday. He was the housing coordinator in the Urban Development Department, and he worked for the city of Hattiesburg for 13 years.
“He was beloved by all coworkers,” Mayor Toby Barker said. “Our hearts and thoughts go out to his family and all who were a part of his life.”
