The Covington County Sheriff's Office is asking local assistance by locking vehicles when they are unattended because of recent burglaries.
Sheriff Darrell Perkins said five auto burglaries were reported in the county between midnight and 4:30 a.m. in the Sanford and Cold Springs area.
