Hattiesburg police officials are asking for help in their investigation of an incident that resulted in a gunshot wound. The incident occurred on Katie Avenue at 5:30 p.m. Saturday.
A local hospital contacted Hattiesburg Police about someone who arrived for the treatment of a gunshot wound. They found out the details involved in the shooting when they arrived at the hospital.
The injuries to the shooting victim were non-life threatening.
