Calhoun, Pleasant Ridge, Soso, Hebron and Glade volunteer fire departments responded to the residence at 8 Baker Drive for the report of a kitchen fire early this morning. Homeowner Amanda Shaw stated she was awakened by her family due to the fire, and they escaped without injury.
Upon arrival of the first responding fire units, the home was fully involved and the roof had vented and collapsed. The home sustained major damage. Shaw lives at the residence with her husband and their five children. No injuries were reported during the incident.
