On October 16, Lieutenant Allen Parker received the inaugural First Responder of the Year Award from Keesler Federal Credit Union.

“There is no one incident that makes the Lieutenant stand out. On the contrary it is his consistent work ethic and service to his community that makes him eligible for this award. He was tasked with the creation of a Warrants Division for our agency,” Sheriff Sims stated in his nomination. “I inherited a backlog of warrants and civil services that needed immediate attention. Lieutenant Parker established the division, put procedures in place, and went to work. In addition to these responsibilities, he patrols every area in the county assisting Patrol with calls for service, serving warrants, and working hotspots of drug activity.”

The Forrest County Sheriff’s Office is proud of Lieutenant Parker’s dedication to the community and appreciates Keesler Federal Credit Union’s acknowledgement of the hard work of those working as a First Responder.
