A Hattiesburg store employee was shot at Tuesday night, and police are asking for information in the incident.
The shooting was reported at 1107 Franklin St., the Family Quick Stop, just after 9:30 p.m. The person in the store displayed a handgun, demanded money and then shot at a store employee, before fleeing the scene.
The store employee was taken to a local hospital to be treated for his injury, which was not believed to be life-threatening.
