Reese Witherspoon To Executive Produce New ‘Legally Blonde’ Series

Prime Video has announced that it has ordered a 'Legally Blonde' prequel series, titled Elle, which will follow he character through her teen years. Reese Witherspoon’s media company, Hello Sunshine, will produce the series, and the 'Legally Blonde' star herself will be its executive producer. The 48-year-old actress is set to produce 'Elle' alongside Lauren Neustadter, Lauren Kisilevsky, Marc Platt and Laura Kittrell. The series will follow Elle Woods through her high school years, long before she embarks on her journey to Harvard Law School. According to a release shared with People, it will follow “life experiences that shaped her into the iconic young woman we came to know and love." In a statement, Witherspoon shared that she “couldn’t be more excited” about the new series. "Fans will get to know how Elle Woods navigated her world as a teenager with her distinct personality and ingenuity, in ways that only our beloved Elle could do. What could be better than that?!" said the actress.
