In light of Friday’s executive order by Gov. Tate Reeves, Hattiesburg Mayor Toby Barker followed with more restrictive regulations during the coronavirus pandemic.
Reeves modified his stay-at-home order to make it a "Safer-at-Home" order. The major changes include allowing health care facilities to begin elective procedures, with cautions and guidelines from the State Department of Health and the CDC, and non-essential retail can operate with some in-store capacity.
Barker’s last two executive orders will remain in effect in Hattiesburg, requiring masks for all employees in essential and non-essential retail stores. Non-essential retail must limit access to their stores to curbside service, pickup sales or by appointment only.
No more than 10 customers will be allowed in a building at one time. This will be the guideline for non-essential retail through April 30.
