The conference will be held at Temple Baptist Church, 5220 Old Highway 11 in Hattiesburg, Miss. The event will take place Thursday and Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn from experts in behavioral and mental health and other related fields and will be able to network with professionals from a variety of specialties, making it a valuable educational resource for all who attend!
This year’s keynote speaker is Kevin Spencer, an educator, artist, consultant, and social entrepreneur who uses arts to provide access and opportunity to individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
Considered a world-renowned illusionist with more than 30 years in the entertainment industry, Spencer is a leading authority on the educational and therapeutic benefits of arts-based programs in education and rehabilitation. He is also the founder of Hocus Focus, Inc., a nonprofit corporation dedicated to empowering people of all abilities and working toward full inclusion of those with abilities different than our own.
During the conference, Continuing Education Units (CEU’s) will be available for school administrators, counselors, health care providers, psychologists, social workers, speech language pathologists and educators.
