Ermance was born in 1924 in Leonville, LA. She was the youngest child of Clebert and Martine Bergeron. She married O.C. Robbins in February of 1947. They had two children, Ronnie and Donnie, and eventually moved to Hattiesburg, MS. After the passing of her husband, Ermance moved to Petal. She was employed at Methodist Hospital as a Nurse’s Aide until her retirement close to 20 years later. Ermance was a member Eastern Star, Crestview Baptist Church and a founding member of Westover Baptist Church. For those who knew her, she was a sweet, loving, sassy, cajun woman. She had a "spit-fire" temper with a heart of Gold. As her grandchildren would say, she was the "hot-tea" drinking "most fun" Grandma. Oh how she loved those grandkids and they loved her right back. Ermance loved her family and made no secret that "Barbara Jenkins" was her favorite niece and "Shirley Robbins" was her favorite daughter-in-law.
She is preceded in death by her mother, 3 brothers, 1 sister, and her husband, O.C. Robbins.
Surviving relatives include Ronnie Robbins (Kindra) of Florence KY and Donnie Robbins, (Christie) of Petal, MS., numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday, June 4, 2018 at Moore Funeral Home in Petal from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
