JCJC softball hosts coaches, skills clinics

ELLISVILLE – Jones County Junior College softball will host a Coaches Clinic on Dec. 1-2 and an Elite Skills Clinic on Dec. 2.

On Dec. 1, the Coaches Clinic will be from 4-9 p.m. Coaches from several Division I schools will be on hand to discuss the fundamentals of pitching, hitting, catching and defense. High school and junior varsity coaches will be able to receive .5 CEU credit for participating in the clinic on Friday and another .5 CEU credit for participating in the skills clinic on Saturday. Also, coaches that participate in the skllis clinic wlil receive $10 for every camper that signs up for the skills clinic from their school.

The coaches clinic is open to all high school and travel ball coaches. Cost is $22 and a meal will be provided.

The skills clinic will be from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on Dec. 2. The clinic is for players in grades 7-12 and clinic fee is $75. Lunch will be provided.
