Mr. Clary served in the military for 42 years, first as a Marine during World War II and then the National Guard at Camp Shelby, where he retired as Sergeant Major. He was a member of Clear Branch Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Purvis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Jefferson Clary and Odessa Clary; and siblings, Thomas Clary, Robert Clary, Sr., Dwayne Clary and Margie Clary Elder.
He is survived by his wife, Elner Jean Clary; daughter, Cynthia “Cindy” Clary Jones (Terry); son, Charles Stephen “Steve” Clary (Donna); three grandchildren, Anthony Clary (Jaime), Sara Clary Failla (Anthony) and Ryan Clary; six great-grandchildren, Aiden Clary, Alex Clary, Andrew Clary, Sophia Failla, Dominic Failla and Camden Clary; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Saturday from 5-8 p.m. at Moore Funeral Home in Hattiesburg.
